Twins Neve and Isla were born early on the 1st September, due to their mother Natalie, being unwell throughout the pregnancy.
The girls’ father Ryan said “It's been a long journey for us, myself and Natalie couldn't walk away from what Gosset ward have done to help our twin girls out.
The staff within Gosset are amazing, words don't come close to what they have done for us, we can never thank them enough this was a small contribution.” Ryan also has an identical twin called Ross who wasn’t well when they were born so this was already close to his heart.
This is the girls in hospital, just 1 day after they were born - weighing roughly 1.5Ibs and 2Ibs each.
The team of 7 runners, made up of, Ryan, Ross, big brother Graham, Sister in laws Nadine and Claire and two friends Julia and Mike completed the Milton Keynes half marathon to raise money for Gosset to say thank you.
They started training at Christmas but Ryan said “to be fair, honestly, emotion took us all across the line.” Sponsors from family and friends totalled £2,100 which the team were thrilled at!
Neve and Isla were there on the day of the half marathon showing their support...
The family then came in to present their fundraising to Grace Rogers, (Gosset ward Sister) and the staff to say thank you for all that they had done for their girls.
Thank you to the Cleary family and their family and friends for their fantastic support for Gosset Ward!
