15 year old Trinnie Phipps raises £1,500 for Gosset Ward by shaving off her hair!
On 10th December 2002 little Trinnie was born; being 2 months premature due to the news that her mum had sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She spent the first few weeks of her life being cared for on Gosset ward, before then going home with her family.
Trinnie’s mum sadly passed away a few months after she was born.
Throughout Trinnie’s life she has been a regular visitor to the Paediatric Cardiology department and has now received the fantastic news that she’s been discharged from Dr Barnes’ care!
To thank Dr Barnes, mark the end of her treatment and also raise awareness for Gosset ward, Trinnie decided that she was going to raise money for the ward by shaving her hair off!
Beating the target she initially set, she raised a fantastic £1,500 for the ward!
Trinnie recently came in with her family to say thank you to Dr Barnes and his team, and present them with her donation!
