Just before Rod’s 70th birthday he set himself a challenge to cycle 70 miles at the age of 70 in 7 hours!
Rod completed his challenge with a finishing riding time of 5 hours 59minutes.
Riding 71.4miles he raised £1390!
Rod chose to support the Chemotherapy suite appeal after his daughter received treatment for ovarian cancer.
His just giving page target was initially £750 but with the fantastic support he received, he nearly doubled it!
Rod was so pleased with the care that his daughter had, it also helped the family through the difficult time.
