Rain runner raises over £1,000 for the Talbot Butler EAB

A huge thank you to Beatrice Bradley for running the Leicester marathon, raising more than £1,000 for the EAB.

The support we have had in fundraising in aid of the Talbot Butler EAB has been phenomenal!

It is always heart-warming to read about the reasons people have for raising the money for this latest appeal.

Beatrice Bradley very kindly decided to run a marathon because she wanted to fundraise for the appeal as a thank you for the fantastic care her Auntie Wiz received from the Oncology department at Northampton General Hospital.

Running a mammoth 26 miles is far from an easy task but it was made even more challenging thanks to the continuous downpours on the day.

Our typical UK weather didn’t stop Beatrice, though.

She completed the Leicester marathon in 4 hours 41 minutes.

Well done!!

We have already received some amazing feedback since the EAB officially opened at the end of September.

This enhancement to the care and services available to cancer patients couldn’t be achieved without the many wonderful donations and without fundraisers like Beatrice.

Thank you so much for your support!
