We would like to send a very special thank you to Ram Chopra and his lovely family who have raised £700 for Northamptonshire Health Charity, in aid of the Oncology department at Northampton General Hospital following the wonderful care he received while undergoing treatment for bowel cancer.

I didn’t know what type of care and support I’d receive, and what impact the medication would have on me yet I knew I had to shift my mindset to embrace what was ahead of me.
I was put on chemotherapy, followed by 25 days of radiotherapy and lastly, major surgery.
Upon starting my treatment, my family and I started collecting money in a tub.
There was no monetary goal but I knew I wanted to donate this to those who have helped me be where I am today.
Throughout every step of my journey, I was fully supported by the Oncology team.
The Consultant was extremely informative about my health and the steps required to get better.
The nurses and Macmillan team have been so lovely and caring – calling me and my family in between treatment and also, looking after me while I was on treatment and in hospital.
It was nice to have what felt like a normal conversation, laughter and positive energy from everyone I spoke to and dealt with at the hospital.
I am extremely grateful for everything that was done for me.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
I wish everyone who is battling cancer, a speedy journey to recovery and good health.
You can beat this!”
