Monday 5th July marked the 73rd birthday of our beloved NHS and so the charity team used this as an opportunity to meet some of the wonderful staff at Kettering General Hospital.
We pitched up in the We Care Cafe on the site just to chat to those who stopped by throughout the day.
We really enjoyed meeting people and it was great to interact properly the first time since Northamptonshire Health Charity merged with KGH Charity Fund to now look after KGH as well as Northampton General and the community and mental health hospitals and services under Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust.
We would also like to pass on our sincere thanks to the local Morrisons stores in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough who all came together to donate a fantastic range of drinks, snacks and wellbeing items for us to put in the goody bags we gave out to the staff who stopped by.
A big thanks also goes to Beckworth Emporium for donating an Afternoon Tea for Two for the free prize draw and congratulations to the lucky winner!
We then continued the NHS Big Tea birthday celebrations by pitching up outside the Cripps Restaurant at Northampton General Hospital on Wednesday 7th July.
Again, it was amazing to get to meet staff like this after so long of not really being able to.
Thanks to everyone who booked a slot to meet us at this and those who came along for free snacks and goodies and to enter the prize draw.
A huge thank you to Kaylee and Linda from Morrisons Northampton Town Centre and Kettering Road stores for donating the fabulous hamper for the draw and some KitKats for the goody bags.
How wonderful that all these 5 local Morrison's stores across our county banded together to support NHS Big Tea and our local NHS staff to celebrate the institution's birthday.
We can't wait to get planning for something bigger next year.
