NGH departments embrace Christmas Jumper Day

We’d like to say a massive thank you to all those staff who took part in Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for NGH.

It was great to hear all about it and see the fabulous sweaters and shirts staff turned up to work in.

Thank you for supporting the hospital via the charity in this way.

We’d love to do the same again next year.

Thank you, Domestic Services
The feedback from the Domestic Services team has been really heart-warming.

The day gave the staff a real morale boost as they fully embraced the spirit of Christmas Jumper Day.

Those working on the wards made the effort to purchase festive attire with short sleeves so they could take part and it’s fantastic to hear from those patient-facing members of the team the positive impact seeing them in Christmas wear had on the patients they came across.

The team raised a whopping £114 and kindly chose to donate this towards the Christmas Gifts for Patients appeal.

This helped us to purchase some gifts for male patients, which we do run short of each year.

Thank you all!

As well as the image above, there is a gallery featuring more pictures of the team wearing their Christmas jumpers and shirts.

Thank you, HR Team
The HR team at NGH on Christmas Jumper day

The HR Team got in on the action so a big thanks to them.

They raised a fantastic £84 for Talbot Butler ward in memory of their colleague Helen Lynch, who sadly passed away this year.

Thank you, Finance Team
A big thanks to the Finance department for donning their Christmas jumpers last Friday.

We miss being among this team and thank them for putting up with us in their offices for so long.

They raised an awesome £80 and chose to split this between Save The Children and us, deciding to support our appeal for a Sensory Magic Carpet to enhance care for elderly mental health patients with dementia.

Thanks to the Finance Team at NGH who got involved with Christmas Jumper Day

Also, huge thanks to the NGH Children’s Physiotherapy team for taking part!

And a big thanks to the IT department for also wearing your festive jumpers to raise funds.
