New ZedBeds for Palliative Care thanks to abseilers
Thomas Cole raised £565 by taking part in our abseil day last June.
Thanks to the wonderful support from 15-year-old Thomas Cole, some new Zed Beds have been purchased for the Palliative Care Team at Northampton General Hospital.
Thomas abseiled the National Lift Tower as part of the Northamptonshire Health Charity Abseil Day last year to raise funds for the team on which his mum, Hayley works.
“Very very proud.
I felt sick watching him though!!” Hayley commented on Twitter.
We are hugely grateful to Thomas for taking on this huge challenge at his young age and for raising a fantastic £565 towards these new beds.
They make such a big difference for visitors of dying patients who are able to get a little sleep while still being right next to their loved one in hospital.
Many thanks to Karen Hackney and Sarah Matthews who both also took part in our abseil day last year to raise funds towards these new beds.
They raised an awesome £886!
