Monthly running challenges raise funds for the Talbot Butler EAB

A very big thank you to Holly Birditt who took on no less than FOUR running challenges in four months to raise money for the EAB via The Angel Foundation.

Yet more incredible support in fundraising for the EAB this year has come from The Angel Foundation, who kicked off the appeal with a very generous £10,000 donation back in March.

Holly Birditt is a member of Team Angel and with several team-mates along for the ride she set out to complete no less than four running challenges in four months.

Kicking things off was the 10K 2 Castles Run in June, which Holly ran with Sandeep Jassal.

This event starts inside the wondrous Warwick Castle and finishes inside Kenilworth Castle.

For July, the intensity level was increased somewhat to encompass the first of three half-marathons.

It was to the lovely town of Leamington Spa and let’s not forget the scorching heatwave we were in the grip of by this point.

Holly remained completely positive throughout, though!

“Training has been quite tough in the heat and the Leamington Half was very hard this Sunday as it was so hot but hopefully, I can only get fitter and quicker for the others!”

September saw a return to Kenilworth for the Kenilworth half-marathon before finishing up with the final race in Greater Manchester!

This final run in Manchester was the complete opposite to Leamington as it was on the day of the miserable downpours but Holly commented, “I actually really enjoyed it!”

It brings to mind the phrase, running your legs off but it’s not even stopping with these four events.

Together with other members of Team Angel, Holly has signed up to continue fundraising in aid of the EAB by running the Edinburgh Marathon next May!

Thank you so much Holly for all your support.

And of course, to all the members of Team Angel involved!
