Northamptonshire Health Charity is calling on gamers, streamers, students and community groups to take part in Power Up for Patients, a brand-new exciting gaming fundraising weekend taking place from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November 2026.
Participants can sign up for free and game solo or as part of a team. Whether you play on console, PC, mobile, tabletop or board games, players can take part in any way they choose while fundraising through sponsorship, livestreaming or donation challenges.
Money raised through Power Up for Patients will help Northamptonshire Health Charity improve healthcare for patientsand users across our local hospitals and community services, helping fund projects, equipment, wellbeing initiatives and enhancements that go above and beyond NHS funding.
Gamers can choose how much of it to take on: 6, 12 or 24 hours of gaming, or set their own challenge entirely. It doesn’tneed to be done in one sitting, break it up however suits you. You can take part online, stream your challenge, or offline if you prefer tabletop or board games.
Players can raise money in a variety of ways, such as getting sponsored per hour, asking for a flat donation, or even stream on Twitch, YouTube or TikTok and fundraising live, setting their own donation challenges for viewers or sponsors.
The event aims to bring together gaming communities across Northamptonshire for a weekend of fun, friendly competition and fundraising, with live fundraising leaderboards via Tiltify and prizes available for the top individual fundraiser and top fundraising team.
Anyone can take part but under 18’s must get permission from a parent or responsible adult and games should be rated under PEGI18.

Northamptonshire Health Charity is also inviting local businesses, gaming cafés, schools, colleges, universities, esports groups and community organisations to get involved by entering teams, promoting the event or donating prizes.
