We would like to say a very special thank you to Jim French for organising a charity dinner in Desborough last year for young adult cancer patients at Kettering General Hospital.
The charity dinner was attended by 100 people from the local community including Emma Mills, KGH Divisional Head of Nursing Pathology, Haematology, Oncology and Karen Danns, Matron for Haematology and Oncology.
It involved a dance, a comedian, an auction and raffle.

Jim was really grateful for the support of the local businesses for their donations of wonderful raffle prizes and the use of the venue was donated free of charge.
When receiving the cheque at KGH last month Karen said, “We are so pleased to have received this donation as it will make such a big difference to the TYA unit at KGH.
Our plans to refurbish a room for the young oncology patients were delayed owing to loss of funding due to Covid, so this donation means we can continue with being able to refresh the room as planned, so thank you!"
