Camping and Caravan Club donate to Centenary Wing at KGH

It was a real pleasure to welcome Richard, Lesley and members of the Camping and Caravan Club Northants District Association, to Kettering General Hospital to accept a cheque from an event in August, which raised an AMAZING £2,536.00 for Northamptonshire Health Charity.

The money raised was the most ever by the Club, who regularly raise funds for local charities.

They chose to support Centenary Wing at the hospital which specialises in the care of cancer patients, something close to Richard’s heart.

Lesley Bandy from Northants DA Camping & Caravan Club told us, "the long weekend at Barnwell Village Hall was stewarded by myself, Marc, Jean & John and we had 52 Caravans/motor homes arrive from other districts.

We organised many things over the weekend including raffles, auctions, games, coffee morning, plus evening entertainment with Richard & friends.

We had an army of help from supporters who were very very generous throughout the weekend..

We were so so happy with the results for your charity.

So proud of our group!" Richard told us; “A great bank holiday weekend with wonderful acts to entertain, I even compered and did a spot myself wow!

For my wife Jackie and I it was a pleasure, the icing on the cake was my visit to the Centenary clinic today, I’m still in remission and feeling good.

Thank you to all involved." Huge thank you to Richard, Lesley and all involved for their support and fundraising which will make a huge difference to Centenary Wing.
