We’d like to say a HUGE thankyou to 17-year-old Josh White for raising funds in aid of ITU as a thank you for the care his dad Nick received.

This was while going through what would have been a tough time for himself and the family while dad Nick was in hospital with SEPSIS.

Nick spent 16 days being looked after by HDU and ITU.

During this time Lindsey Carman and staff offered a wealth of support and care to Nick and his family.

This is the reason Josh decided to raise money in aid of the department, as a way to thank them for this incredible support.

Josh came in with Nick, his mum Sue and Nick’s sister, Sally to present a cheque to Ward Sister Lindsey Carman, for the fantastic amount of £1,358 he raised in sponsorship.

It was a chance for the family to have a good catch up with Lindsey and a few other staff members who passed by – all were so happy to see Nick looking so well as he continues with his recovery.

The family heaped so much praise upon all the staff in the department who helped them through this very difficult time, providing an exceptionally high level of care that is crucial at such a time for both patients and their families.

Josh completed the half-marathon in a very respectable time on what was the hottest May Day Bank Holiday on record!

Well done Josh, our thanks to you and to all the family for your amazing support!
