On April 1st 2021 the KGH Charity Fund merged with Northamptonshire Health Charity (NHC).
As you'll know from our About page, we are an independent charity originally set up to raise funds and oversee expenditure for Northampton General Hospital (NGH) and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT).
Now that KGH has joined, we will be THE county charity for NHS hospital, mental health and community services.
We really look forward to celebrating the wonderful projects and enhancements to patient care and experience that have been achieved thanks to the lovely KGH Charity Fund team and to working to continue with our mission: To make things better for patients, their families and staff by providing funding for equipment, research, training and all of those extras that help to comfort people when in hospital.
If you have any queries then please do get in touch with us.
What this means for KGH The merger means that Kettering General Hospital will now be supported by a much larger charity team, able to access sources of funding previously not available to NHS Charities.
You can still make donations to directly benefit KGH or individual wards, departments and services.
Please ask ward or department staff if you would like to donate or you can find all the ways to >>get involved at this page here<<.
All donations are receipted and a letter of thanks sent so please include your name and address and please clearly state where you would like your donation to benefit.
If you have donated in the past to a specific area of the hospital please be assured that these funds will continue to be used for their intended purpose.
The Twinkling Stars appeal for a maternity bereavement suite will continue and we will develop some exciting plans for future fundraising events as the coronavirus restrictions are gradually lifted.
The charity will continue to have a presence on the KGH site – being based in the charity office at Latimer House to receive donations, provide advice on fundraising and guidance to KGH staff on procedures for receiving donations and accessing funds.
If you do have any queries please do call us on 01536 491569 for the Kettering office, 01604 626927 for the Northampton office or you can email [email protected]
