Tonight Matthew, I’m going to be…

A huge thank you to Callum Shields and teammates at AFC Hackleton for raising £850 for Snowdrop room in maternity.

Callum Shields and his teammates at AFC Hackleton arranged a “Stars in their eyes” event to fundraise for Snowdrop room on the maternity unit.

With many acts such as Tina Turner, Elton John, and the winner being Miley Cyrus, they sang to their hearts content in front of teammates, family and friends!

Followed by an auction with prizes donated from popular sports teams and businesses.

The night raised a fantastic £850 for Snowdrop room which will help to add those extra special touches to the room.

The team have held the Stars in their Eyes event for 9 years now and choose a different charity to support each year.

This year they chose Snowdrop room as sadly, Callum’s boss has used the room.

Thank you to all at AFC Hackleton for your support!!

What does Snowdrop Room do?

Snowdrop room is based on the Maternity unit and is used by women and their families who are experiencing late pregnancy loss before, during and after their baby is born.

The privacy of the room allows families to spend precious time with their baby and create some invaluable memories such as hand and foot prints, take photos, and have a blessing service from the hospital Chaplin.

It has kitchen facilities and a private garden to help make it as non-clinical as possible for the families spending time there.
