NGH Choir donates £1,500 to the Maternity Garden appeal

We are hugely grateful to the members of the NGH Choir who continue to support the hospital with their fundraising.

We are truly grateful to them all for this ongoing support.

Over the years, their fundraising has been put towards the Oncology department, our Do it for Dementia appeal and recently the Talbot Butler emergency assessment bay.

With the money raised from their charity concert last year, they have decided to donate this towards our Robert Watson Maternity Garden appeal.

Thank you all so much for boosting this appeal with a further £1,500 - we are now over half way to the target!!

Choir members Erica, Kate, Sue, Rose and Diane met with Janet Hoffman, Junior Sister on Robert Watson Ward and Candy Baker last week, to present this generous donation towards the appeal.

The new garden area on the maternity ward is going to make such a huge difference for mums and their families.

The environment will be comfortable and inviting, providing somewhere for them to get a breath of fresh air.

It will also provide some space for siblings when they are visiting mum while in hospital.

If you would like to join the NGH choir, or pop in for a taster session, members meet in the boardroom Tuesdays 7pm to 8:45pm.
