New TV for the Day Case Unit thanks to the Wright family!

A big thank you to the Wright family for donations in memory of Richard Wright, which have allowed the Day Case Unit to purchase a new television for patients.

Richard’s wife Margaret came in to the hospital with two of their four daughters, Angela and Laura, along with granddaughter Lillian – to see the television up on the wall, in front of where Richard used to sit himself.

On behalf of the whole family, they also thanked the staff in the unit for the great care they gave to Richard while he was a patient.

This television will provide patients, who have to sit for varying lengths of time while receiving their treatment, with a very welcome distraction and some much-needed entertainment.

It will provide people with something they can focus on and enjoy at a time when they may not be feeling at their best.

The donations the Wright family kindly made in Richard’s memory total £676, for which we are truly grateful.

Some of this also went to the Haematology department and Margaret came in last year with one of their two sons, Mathew to present a cheque to Haematology staff.

Some of the money came from the “jazz hands and friends” group Margaret herself attended.

Our sincerest thanks go to all of the Wright family for these donations in memory of Richard.

Thank you all so much for your ongoing support for the hospital!
