[caption id="attachment_5171" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Sue Adkins with the Christmas gifts purchased thanks to donations in return for viewing a video of the stunning model Christmas village built by Sue and husband, Phil.[/caption] They may not have been able to bring people to their stunning model Christmas village due to the coronavirus pandemic this year but Sue and Phil Adkins bought the village to them instead.
Every year, the couple build a stunning model village for their family and friends to come round to see.
As Phil explained last Christmas, “Friends and family love to come round with their little ones and they love looking at all the different scenes, counting how many different Santas they can spot!” They then kindly make a donation to their charity collection.
Last year, Sue and Phil supported our Christmas Gifts for Patients appeal and they decided to do the same again for 2020.
They have raised over £300 from family and friends who kindly made their generous donations in return for viewing the awesome video of the village they filmed.
The fantastic amount raised has enabled Sue and Phil to purchase all these incredible items for our Christmas Gifts for Patients appeal.
This helps us to ensure that every inpatient at Northampton General Hospital and those in the community and mental health hospitals all receive a present on Christmas Day.
We're so grateful to them for their continued support of us and for Northampton General Hospital.
Back in the summer, Sue was able to adapt her now annual Afternoon Tea Weekend offering takeaway and delivery - £2,600 was raised from the event!
