Just in time for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, we are really pleased to launch a fantastic Jubilee discount on entry into our first-ever Superhero Fun Run this July.
Calling all Superhero fans across Northamptonshire, come suit up as your favourite hero to run, jog or walk the 5km course at the beautiful Wicksteed Park in Kettering.
Until Wednesday 8 June you can get a whopping 30% discount simply by entering the word Jubilee when asked for a discount code at registration.
Open to all ages and abilities, this 5K event is taking place from 10am on Sunday 3 July.
It can be a fun day out for all the family, including your four-legged friends!
Whichever way you choose to complete the course, you’ll all be superheroes to us, and to our local NHS teams.
Ticket prices with this amazing discount are: Adult £10.50; Child (5-15) £7; Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £31.50; Under 5s are FREE.
The proceeds from entry fees will go towards our Twinkling Stars appeal for the new maternity bereavement suite at Kettering General Hospital but you are welcome to get sponsored and raise funds for the ward or department that means the most to you and your family at any of the local NHS hospitals we support - Northampton General, Kettering General and all of the community and mental health hospitals under Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT).
There will be prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed superheroes, whether you are Superman, Wonder Woman or dressed as one of our NHS Heroes.
Our Community Fundraiser and organiser of the event, Michelle Leighton said, It is a great opportunity to celebrate all key workers throughout the COVID pandemic so we encourage people to dress up as your favourite postie, bin man or shop worker too.
However, there is no obligation to dress up if it isn’t your thing.
All finishers will receive a medal and a bottle of water at the finish line.
Wicksteed Park are offering all finishers a discounted entry for a wristband ticket at £15 per person for the rides and attractions for the day, too.
You just need to show your medal at the ticket office.
