Barratt Homes Staff Cycling Challenge Raises £21,062 for Northamptonshire Health Charity
In a remarkable display of dedication and generosity, the staff at Barratt Homes embarked on a cycling challenge covering a distance of 1,550 miles in just three days, equivalent to cycling from their Northampton headquarters to Venice!
The initiative, was organised to celebrate the NHS’s 75th Anniversary and support the Northamptonshire Health Charity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible Barratt Homes team for their tremendous efforts.
The cycling challenge resulted in an astounding fundraising total of £10,531, which was generously doubled to a staggering £21,062 by The Barratt Foundation.
This substantial donation will significantly contribute to the revitalisation of some of the oldest and most tired-looking staff rooms at local NHS facilities.
These communal spaces, in urgent need of refurbishment, will undergo transformation to create welcoming and comfortable environments where staff can relax and unwind during their breaks.
Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, expressed his pride in the team’s fundraising achievements and emphasized the importance of supporting local NHS staff.
“We’re extremely proud of the fundraising efforts of our team, and are delighted to have raised such a significant amount to acknowledge and help support local NHS staff.”
We commend Barratt Homes for their invaluable support towards improving healthcare services in Northamptonshire.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who tirelessly serve our community.
Barratt Homes are also the corporate sponsor for Northamptonshire Health Charity in the Northampton 10k.
Join us for the unique chance to run our first event at Sixfields Stadium, home of League 1 football club, Northampton Town.
