Steve’s Kinder Scout hike for Kettering children’s ward

We would like to say a huge thank you to Steve Wilson for raising a fantastic £545 for Skylark children’s ward at Kettering General Hospital this year.

Steve wanted to give something back to Skylark following the care given to his eldest daughter when she was treated by the team last year and as a way to say thank you to all the helpful and kind staff on the ward for everything they do.

Steve Wilson raised £545 for Skylark by climbing Kinder Scout in the Peaks
To raise the money, Steve organised a little group challenge to walk up Kinder Scout in the Peak District back in June.

Steve and 11 colleagues were treated to some great weather, leading to some truly breath-taking views.

With potential Gift Aid included, the amount raised should rise to nearly £600, which will make a big difference to the staff and patients on Skylark.

This will help make a big difference to children in hospital.

Steve has already signed up to climb Ben Nevis in 2023 and will again be raising money in aid of KGH.
