NHS Retirement Fellowship raises £585 for the EAB

A big thank you to our local branch of the NHS Retirement Fellowship for donating £585 in aid of the emergency assessment bay.

We would like to send out a huge thank you to all of the members of the local branch of the NHS Retirement Fellowship for the £585 they kindly donated in aid of the Talbot Butler emergency assessment bay.

A special thank you to Vice Chair Carol Mabbutt who organised a cake sale at one of the group’s monthly meetings a few months ago, which is how this fantastic amount of money was raised.

Carol came in recently with Vice President Ruth Gould and longstanding member Mary Morgan to visit the new assessment bay and have a chat with Ward Acting Sister Emma Cuthbert.

They saw first-hand the huge difference it is having for oncology and haematology patients who require urgent care and assessment.

The fellowship exists to maintain friendships and to provide opportunities to make new friends through a range of social and leisure activities.

They meet on the first Friday of every month and new members are very welcome.

Thank you all so much for your support!
