About workplace giving
Giving to charity through your workplace is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to support our work. Whether through Payroll Giving or direct workplace donations, your regular support can help transform healthcare in Northamptonshire.
Payroll Giving (Give As You Earn)
Payroll Giving allows you to donate directly from your salary before tax is deducted, meaning your donation goes even further. If your employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme, signing up is simple, and your donation is deducted automatically each payday. Payroll giving is:
Tax-efficient: Your donation is taken from your gross salary, reducing the amount of tax you pay. For example, a £10 donation only costs you:
- £8 if you’re a basic rate taxpayer
- £6 if you’re a higher rate taxpayer
- £5.50 if you’re an additional rate taxpayer
- And it’s flexible: You can change or stop your donation at any time.

Give as you earn
You can download a Give As you Earn form from the Charities Aid Foundation. Just add Northamptonshire Charitable Fund (trading as Northamptonshire Health Charity Registered Charity no: 1165702) as your chosen charity, and send it to your payroll department
Matched Giving
Some employers match donations, doubling your impact—check with your HR team to see if your company participates.
Workplace Giving Direct to Us
If your employer doesn’t offer Payroll Giving, you can still set up a regular donation directly with us. A monthly gift provides ongoing support for patients, staff, and projects across Northamptonshire’s NHS hospitals and services. Click here to make a regular donation.
