What a difference one man and his rake can make

A big thank you to Matt Masters who kindly volunteered his time to clean up masses of leaves at John Greenwood Shipman centre.

Matt Masters has made a huge difference in the garden of the John Greenwood Shipman Centre by clearing all the winter leaves.

Matt, Innovation Manager at Calor, volunteered to give JGS a day of his time for anything useful for the centre as part of the Start From the Heart scheme that Calor run.

The scheme actively encourages all permanent staff to give something back to local communities.

So, Matt volunteered with his rake to help clear JGS of all the unwanted leaves!

JGS were so pleased that Matt offered to help out.

Nicola Goody, JGS administrative assistant who helped arrange the volunteering day said,
“Matt was amazing.

By the time he had finished there wasn’t a leaf in sight.

The young people were amazed at the transformation of the garden, and it made staff proud when showing new parents around.

Thanks Matt, from all the Staff at The John Greenwood Shipman Centre!”
