We had a really fantastic start to our week this Monday – saying a big thank you to Sonia Stirling for her recent fundraising challenge for Northamptonshire Health Charity.
A head shave is something Sonia has always wanted to do and in August she finally braved the shave – cheered on by friends and family at her local pub in Geddington – raising a fantastic £1,683.16 for Centenary Wing at Kettering General Hospital, who cared for a close and dear friend of hers.
Sonia has been a member of staff at KGH for 33 years and having worked on Centenary Wing, she has seen first hand, the care and support offered to patients.
The wing specialises in oncology, haematology and cancer care, one of the main treatments provided being chemotherapy.
It was lovely to be able to say thanks to her along with Rebecca, Sister on the Centenary Wing and a few staff from the KGH Oncology team.
Sonia, we think you are absolutely AMAZING!!
