Northamptonshire Health Charity is thrilled to have been chosen to receive a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre team in Daventry.
The donation from the Amazon team will go towards our appeal for a new outside play area between the children’s wards at Northampton General Hospital.
Vivek Khanka, Site Leader at Amazon in Daventry, said: “Northamptonshire Health Charity provides a vital service for the NHS hospitals in our community and the team at Amazon in Daventry is pleased to support the charity’s efforts with this donation.” Anna Szczepaniak who nominated us for the donation, said: “Northamptonshire Health Charity is close to my heart and I’m pleased Amazon could support the team with this donation.” We would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at the charity to thank Anna and the team from Amazon.
Donations like this enable us to continue providing funding to help make patients' time in hospital a little bit easer.
This will help make a huge difference to children in hospital.
If you'd like to make a donation or do some fundraising to support the appeal all the ways you can get involved can be found at our >>appeal page<<.
The charity received this wonderful donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
Community donations are one of a number of ways in which Amazon is supporting communities across the UK during COVID-19.
Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic breakfast and delivering more than four million healthy breakfasts to families around the UK.
