5-Year-Old Womble of West Haddon Raises £920 for Gosset

⭐5-year-old Joseph is an absolute star ⭐ as well as a Womble of West Haddon!

Joseph raised over £1,800 recently by doing a sponsored litter pick around the village in which he lives, clearing the streets so they're nice, clean and tidy and kindly donating £920 of the funds he raised to Northamptonshire Health Charity for Gosset ward at Northampton General Hospital.

Born full-term, Joseph was very poorly and so was cared for by the staff on the neonatal unit at Northampton General for 10 days.

His mum, Illona explains how Joseph has such a big heart and that he wanted to do a litter pick to help the environment and to raise money for two special causes.

One of which, in Joseph’s own words is for “the babies in the special baby ward”.

The other half of the funds raised are for Earth’s Lonely Angels Charity.

Joseph has spent 8 hours picking up litter around the village, comprising 11 big bags full.

What an amazing young man.

It was lovely to meet Joseph and his family when they came to the charity office to present this awesome donation to Gosset Ward Manager, Michelle Hardwick.

The funds are going towards the new parents en-suite accommodation that is due to be built over the coming months.

Joseph's mum and dad, Illona and Dan, know all too well the huge impact this new accommodation will have for parents, following Joseph's stay on Gosset when he was born.

A huge thanks again to Joseph for helping to make this difference to future Gosset parents and their little ones.
