Back in June, we shared news about Sharon Mitchell’s tough 100km running challenge and the fact that she actually ended up doubling the distance to 200km, which is absolutely phenomenal!
It was really lovely to be able to meet Sharon when she came to Kettering General Hospital to hand over a cheque for £10,714.52 for the Breast Care Team, which she raised for Northamptonshire Health Charity from this EPIC challenge back in May.
Following Sharon’s diagnosis with Breast Cancer in May 2020, she wanted to give something back to the team who have looked after her so well during her treatment.
As a non-runner, Sharon totally smashed the 100km challenge which is why she cracked on to make it double this!
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Sharon and all of her supporters for raising this incredible amount for the Breast Care Team at KGH and we wish her well for the rest of her treatment.
