Thanks to Wonderful Waitrose

A huge thank you to several local Waitrose stores for supporting a number of Northamptonshire Health Charity projects recently!

Alison McCulloch visited Waitrose in Kingsthorpe to receive their donation for the Brampton ward quiet room.

A big thank you to Waitrose for their community matters green token scheme, which continues to provide such a wonderful level of support to a number of different fundraising projects across Northampton General Hospital and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Waitrose launched this scheme in 2008 and since then it has raised over £30 million for good causes in store and online.

Each month, individual stores share a £1,000 donation between three local charities.

Rushden
Back in November last year, Waitrose in Rushden selected The Squirrels, via Northamptonshire Health Charity, as one of the three causes their shoppers could choose to support with their community matters green tokens.

Sending out a huge thank you to all the lovely Waitrose customers who very kindly placed their green token in the box and for this wonderful £320 towards the purchase of a wheelchair roundabout for the children’s short break centre in Rushden.

It will make a big difference to children in our county.

Kingsthorpe
Over at the Kingsthorpe store, the community matters green token scheme has raised £293 for the Brampton ward appeal.

Our huge thanks to all the lovely customers who chose this to support with their green tokens.

Wootton
Thank you to the kind and thoughtful customers at Waitrose in Wootton who allowed the store to donate £265 to our Christmas Gifts for Patients appeal.

This donation we will be able to use during 2020’s appeal.

It tends to help us purchase items for the gift bags for men, which we are always short of.

Another month saw our Brampton ward quiet relative’s room as one of the three causes for customers to support.

A huge thank you for the £506 donated towards this!
