Local private hospital raises funds for maternity bereavement suite

We would like to send a huge thank you to the patients and staff at Woodland Hospital in Kettering, who have been fundraising for Northamptonshire Health Charity in aid of the Twinkling Stars Appeal for the new maternity bereavement suite at Kettering General Hospital - we were thrilled to visit recently and receive a cheque for £2,300!!

With fundraising hugely impacted due to the pandemic, the innovative thinking of the Woodland team, on how they could still support us, included asking patients to leave a Google or Facebook review which Woodland donated to when they reached their 100 review target.

Jo Milton, Head of Clinical Services said, During the Covid 19 pandemic, it was important that we supported Kettering General Hospital, by providing clinical care to their vulnerable patients, deploying staff to their intensive care unit and fundraising for their Twinkling Stars Appeal.

We hope the donation can go towards their £1 million target and provide much needed comfort and facilities for bereaved families.” Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff and patients at Woodland Hospital for supporting the Twinkling Stars Appeal and helping us with our fundraising for new facilities that will support parents and families who suffer the heartbreak of losing their baby.

If you would like to make a donation to our fundraising appeal, or get involved by doing some fundraising all the information can be found on our >>appeal page<<.
