The response from the local community during the current coronavirus pandemic has been truly overwhelming and continues to be so.
We're so grateful to everyone who has donated items from our Amazon Wish List, local companies who have donated items for both staff and patients and to all who have made a donation via our Just Giving page, Facebook posts and in any other way, shape or form.
You are all incredible people helping us to support our local NHS workers and the isolated patients in their care, at Northampton General Hospital and across Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Likewise, the response to the national NHS Charities Together appeal has been incredible.
They have been running a One Million Claps campaign whereby you text a number with a message and donate £5 to the national appeal.
Local charities have been receiving these messages to share with their hospitals and they are such wonderfully kind and heart-warming messages to be reading at such a dark time.
We would like to thank everyone across Northamptonshire who has donated in this way and we wanted to share some of their messages here for everyone to see, including those NHS staff at our hospitals who may not have been able to see the communications sent out already.
A huge thank you to all of the amazing NHS staff who are on the front line caring for the sick & vulnerable, you’re all doing a really great job.
