Types of non-cash gifts we can accept
Donating shares, stocks, or other investments is a tax-efficient way to support our work. You won’t pay Capital Gains Tax on any gains made from donated shares, and if you’re a UK taxpayer, you can also claim Income Tax relief on the value of the gift.
We welcome donations of goods and services that we can use for raffle prizes or auction items for fundraising events. All physical items must be new and unused.
Please contact us before donating gifts in kind to ensure they meet our needs and regulations.
Please note that for our Christmas appeal we prefer cash donations as this allows us to purchase gifts en masse that are compliant with the hospitals infections controls and ensure everyone receives a suitable new gift of equal value.
Leaving a gift in your Will is a lasting way to support NHS care in Northamptonshire. Legacy gifts can help fund vital projects for future generations. Many people assume that leaving a legacy means donating a fixed sum of money, but your gift doesn’t have to be in cash. You can also leave assets, which can be just as valuable in supporting our vital work. Visit our legacy giving page to learn more.
