Community Partnerships: Coventry Building Society continue their wonderful support!

Coventry Building Society’s Karen & Andy with staff at JGS

Throughout 2019 we have continued to receive an incredible level of support from our community partner, Coventry Building Society (Northampton Branch).

Karen & Andy from the branch recently volunteered some time to help out in the garden at the John Greenwood Shipman Centre.

In Autumn, so many leaves gather and blow around the area making it look really untidy.

The staff were so grateful to Karen & Andy for clearing up so many leaves and for making the garden look tidy for the children.

It really makes such a big difference to them.

Earlier in the year, Karen volunteered at JGS with Amy from the branch.

They helped the children make Easter nests and cakes.

Northamptonshire Health Charity was also awarded a £1,000 grant towards a wheelchair roundabout for The Squirrels short break centre in Rushden.

We are really grateful for another recent kind gesture made by the Coventry staff.

They chose to donate the £200 raised in-branch this year to charity team member, Rob’s Northampton Half Marathon fundraising.

This donation will further support the Children’s Short Breaks centres but also the award-winning PCART North allotment project.

This project aims to help improve the health and wellbeing of people recovering from mental health issues.
