Saints players sporting the face masks, sales of which have led to the £7,270 donation to Northamptonshire Health Charity
Northamptonshire Health Charity are very grateful to Northampton Saints for donating an incredible £7,270 to our COVID-19 appeal from the sales of their awesome Black, Green & Gold face masks featuring a Club crest design.
Over 4,000 of these masks have been sold in total, raising £14,540!!
The funds were split between Northamptonshire Health Charity and Saints Foundation.
We have allocated the money to the community midwifery hub that has been set up at Franklin’s Gardens by Northampton General Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.
This enables them to expand the unit and continue to offer their services to mums-to-be in Northampton during this time.
The amount raised by selling these unique facemasks is incredible and will go a long way to helping us to fund the alternative accommodation that our community midwifery teams need.” Alison McCulloch, Head of Fundraising.
Anne Richley, one of the Community Midwifery Matrons currently working in the pop-up clinic at Franklin’s Gardens added, “We are hugely grateful to Northampton Saints for their ongoing support!
This donation will help us to continue to provide a nice environment for women and their babies to be seen by community matrons, and increases the options that we can consider for them.”
A big thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these masks, we’ll be looking out for you across the town.
We would like to extend our thanks once more to everyone who has donated to our COVID-19 appeal and to NHS Charities Together over the last few months.
It is thanks to your generosity that we were able to part-fund the initial set up of the community midwives hub at the Saints Rugby ground.
Thank you so much for making a difference!
