Donations for staff and patients

This Christmas the Northamptonshire Elf service will be providing gifts for all inpatients in hospital on Christmas Day, as well as festive treats for staff working on Christmas Day. You can help to provide these gifts by purchasing or selling raffle tickets, donating, or by organising a festive fundraising event or activity.

The best way you can support the campaign is by purchasing or selling raffle tickets, donating or fundraising. We understand that you may prefer to donate new gifts or physical items, and we still appreciate and accept these donations, but all donations must be coordinated through Northamptonshire Health Charity. Staff and wards should not accept gifts directly.

It enables us to provide consistent new gifts that are suitable for specific patient groups within hospital, as well as ensuring they meet infection control standards.

Yes, but please contact the charity first:

  • Chocolates or biscuits: Let us know so we can ensure fair distribution across the hospital.
  • Children’s toys: These are coordinated with Play Specialist teams to ensure safety and suitability.

No. Gifts are pooled centrally through the charity to ensure fairness and follow infection prevention measures. Some items, like children’s toys, may be coordinated with Play Specialists for safety and suitability.

Politely direct them to Northamptonshire Health Charity and notify the charity team so the gifts can be logged and stored safely.

All gifts donated through the charity are used to support wards and departments, and may also be used for fundraising or third-party events throughout the year.
