At Northamptonshire Health Charity, we know that when a parent is diagnosed with cancer, the emotional impact on their children can be profound. That’s why we fund initiatives that offer comfort and support to families facing the unimaginable.

One of those initiatives is the Pip Kits, thoughtfully designed activity packs that help families with incurable cancer. These kits include colouring books, puzzles, and gentle stories that give children a way to ask questions, share feelings, and feel less alone.

There are also other kits available that can make such a difference during times of uncertainty:

  • Hedgehog cloud kit: 3-5 years
  • Tiger cloud kit: 6-11 years
  • Cancer cloud kit: 12-14 years

You can find out more about what’s included in these kits via the Fruitfly Collective website.

With your support we’ll soon be able to roll these kits out to families affected by cancer.

FAQs

A: We’re using a method called Partially Addressed Mail to reach households in Northamptonshire. This means we’ve sent the mailing to addresses in your area, but not to named individuals. We don’t use or hold any personal data like names or contact details.
This approach helps us raise awareness of our charity’s work supporting people affected by cancer, while respecting privacy. It’s a way for us to connect with local communities and invite support for vital NHS services, without targeting anyone personally.

We haven’t used personal data to send this mailing. Instead, we’ve selected postcode areas in Northamptonshire where we believe people may be interested in supporting local NHS services. This approach uses reliable and trustworthy data sources to identify areas, allowing us to reach households without knowing names or other personal details.

A: These mailings are really important for reaching supporters who may not have heard of us and for sharing the difference we’re making together. We view this as an investment in awareness and future support for our work, where we can inspire more people to get involved and support vital projects that improve care for patients and families.

A: We’re truly sorry that this mailing has reached you at a difficult time. We understand how sensitive the topic of cancer can be, and we never intend to cause distress. This campaign was designed to raise awareness and support for local NHS services, but we recognise that it may have arrived unexpectedly for some households.
Because this is a partially addressed mailing, we don’t have access to personal information about recipients, which means we’re unable to tailor or exclude individuals based on their circumstances. However, if you’d prefer not to receive future communications of this nature, please let us know and we’ll update your preferences immediately.

A: You can take on one of our events or create your own fundraiser like a bake sale to help us fund vital projects. Your efforts support initiatives like Pip Kits as well as many other services that make a real difference. Find out more about fundraising for us here.

We understand that cancer is a deeply personal and sensitive topic. If our mailing has reached you at a difficult time and you’d like to talk, we’re here for you. Please call us on 01604 626927
